What this is, and isn't

A starting place, not the last word

We want to be honest with you about the limits of what this site can be, because you deserve more than a screen can give.

Not a substitute for care

Devotions For Grace is not pastoral counsel, medical advice, mental-health treatment, or legal or financial guidance. Nothing here replaces a doctor, a counselor, or a pastor who knows your name and can sit with you.

If you are unwell, grieving hard, or thinking of harming yourself, please tell a real person today — a pastor, a doctor, a friend, or a crisis line where you live.

How to hold the prayers we write

The prayers here are written by people using tools, shaped around what you shared. They are a starting point for your own prayer — words to borrow when your own won't come. They are not prophecy, and not a definitive word from God about your situation.

Weigh everything against Scripture. Where our words and the Bible ever seem to disagree, trust the Bible.

Scripture and interpretation

Verses are quoted to steady you and point you to Jesus, not to settle debates. We may be wrong in how we've applied one; if you think we have been, we genuinely want to hear it.

No church, no membership

This site is not a church and cannot be one. It can't baptize you, break bread with you, or visit you when you're sick. Please find a local body of believers who can. We'd count it a joy if this small place helped you walk back toward one.
