Grace Changed My Life

My name is James, and Devotions for Grace was born from something I know personally: God’s grace can reach us in places we never thought He would.

My life hasn’t always looked like the life of someone you might expect to start a Christian ministry. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve experienced brokenness, addiction, consequences, and seasons when my life was far from God.

But my story isn’t really about how far I fell.

It’s about the God who met me there.

Some time ago, during a difficult season of my life, someone invited me to church. I didn’t walk through those doors with everything figured out. I walked in carrying a past and plenty of reasons to believe I didn’t belong.

Instead, I found a church that told me something I desperately needed to hear:

“It’s okay to not be okay.”

I encountered people who welcomed me as I was and pointed me toward Jesus.

And Jesus changed my life.

Not because I had finally become good enough. Not because I had somehow earned another chance. But because the gospel tells us that God is rich in mercy and that salvation is a gift of His grace.

Why Devotions for Grace Exists

I started Devotions for Grace for people who need that same reminder.

• For the person who feels far from God.
• For the person carrying regret.
• For the Christian who’s struggling quietly.
• For someone who wants to pray but doesn’t know what to say.
• And for anyone who simply needs to be reminded of who God is today.

Through short devotionals, Scripture, and prayer, my hope is to point you toward God’s Grace, what Jesus has done, and the hope found in His grace.

This isn’t a ministry about pretending life is perfect.

And it isn’t about trying harder so God will love you more.

It’s about a God who loved us first.

A Savior who came looking for the lost.

A Father who is rich in mercy.

And grace that none of us could ever earn.
